  1. I will change the player count for the weekend, but the main get together will be happening on Sunday around 16:00 BST and, I imagine, will last for quite some hours after that! Looking forward to seeing you all there, faces new and old. Xo
  2. Hey all, This coming Saturday and Sunday will be our official send off days, where we will be unbanning most players and cranking the max server slots up. We will be shutting down all servers other than JB and Surf Combat, on which we will put the player cap to around 50 for each one. We want everyone to come together for one final bash on our most popular servers and celebrate what have been some great years with ENW. We'll be throwing some random shit in there too, so it'll be a fun time. Hope to see you there! Love, Medez ❤️
  3. Dayz with Mikey and HarryS, that bike shit was fucking hilarious. HupHop being warden on JB, stand on the wall and all of that. The times with Only Nothing, Cyle and Abc on H1Z1 before it became cancerous The hours I've spent watching Schwarz control my PC Learning to speak Schwarzish Nah but really the meet ups were always the best, in both the UK and the Netherlands. Ik hou van jullie

    The end of ENW

Legitimately one of my favorite ENW memories is me, you and HarryS playing DayZ for like a week straight. So much fun. Thanks to everyone for your kind words ❤️

    The end of ENW

Hi all, After a long discussion as the owners, Schwarz, Joram and I have decided to move on from ENW. The new servers that we've been looking at won't be able to run sm_hosties, among other things, and we just don't have the time and energy to run it and set it all up again. We're all at a time in our lives where other things are becoming a priority, and we simply can't invest the time into ENW that it needs and deserves. Hence, we've decided to finally give it up. Its sad to think the community will be coming to an end. None of us can really explain how much of an impact being in Extreme Network has had on our lives. All three of us owners have been here for the best part of a decade. I personally joined when I was 13 years old, some 8 years ago. I'd like to thank everyone, on behalf of Schwarz, Joram and I, for the commitment you have all made over the years. Its been an absolutely incredible experience. I've made many, many friends and met even more cunts, but all in all its been an absolute blast. None of it would have been possible without you guys. To all our members of staff throughout the years, to everyone that played the servers, to our VIPs and our donators - you made this whole thing possible, and how grateful we are is pretty inexplicable. I've traveled to other countries and met people I'd never have even heard of without the community, like HarryS, HupHop, Dylan, Joram, Razer and all the rest of you gorgeous bastards. The servers will remain up until 15th September, at which point all of our gaming stuff will come to an end. The only thing that will remain is the Discord server, which you can continue to use as much as you like, for whatever you like. It will still be monitored by whoever sticks around, so don't think that because the community is closing you can start throwing out those racial slurs you've all be holding back. Once again, its was an absolute pleasure. Thank you for everything, Schwarz, Medez and Joram ❤️

    The future of ENW

Thanks for the feedback all. Changing to a different game would very much be a last resort - as long as we can have a presence on CSGO, we'll strive to do so. If a server IP change will lose us players, think about the loss changing to another game. Besides, our passion has been for CS for the best part of a decade. We don't want to give up on it now, when we have other options. We'll get started with the server messages soon!

    The future of ENW

Hi all, Today it was brought to our attention that the next CSGO update will bring with it the end of MOTD windows in game. This means that, at least for the foreseeable future, we aren't going to be able to run adverts on our community servers. The revenue generated by our adverts counts for around 75% of our total income. As you can imagine, this puts us in a bit of a pickle. Now is the time for us to decide what we want to do with ENW. Our most obvious choice is to size down to a point where our costs will be affordable, but that means we need to cut a large portion of the servers. Without a doubt, Jailbreak will remain - it has stood the test of time all these years, since back when I founded the server, and it will continue to do so until the very end of the community. We will also ensure that at least one of the retakes servers will remain, but aside from that everything has to be considered. This is a community, run on the generous contributions of our VIPs and players. It wouldn't be right for just the Owners to be making these decisions. We need your input. Please vote above on what servers you would like to see stay or be reintroduced, and feel free to give any comments or suggestions on where we all go from here. We'll also still need to have our income, so we're going to take a proper look at revamping our whole VIP system. Also, I know I haven't given anyone their prizes for the tournament, but I'm afraid this is our number one priority. When its all sorted, we'll get the prizes handed out. Thanks all, Schwarz, Medez and Joram
  9. Hi guys, I would really appreciate it if you spent a few seconds going over the questions in this survey concerning the Tournament! Thanks
  10. Congratulations to Mr Kipling Chief, WebbyS, Nitro, Mist, TobyC who are the champions of the ENW 5v5 Tournament! MVP goes to BRADRS for the undeniable highlight of the tournament. Thanks to everyone that got involved - you will all be rewarded! Unfortunately Schwarz is in Cuba and they do not permit the use of PayPal, and Schwarz has the community money in his personal account. When he's back, we I will announce the tournament prizes! Special thanks to iAqua for streaming the whole event, Joram for the technical support and HupHop for emotional support - I'd have been weeping about you.
  11. After a dodgy start to the tournament, we finally got underway! Here are tomorrow's listings: See you tomorrow!
  12. The Veto Process For Best of 1s: Each Team Captain will be pulled into the appropriate voice channel in Discord. A randomiser will be used to determine which Captain gets to pick the first map to veto. After that, each Captain will take it in turns to strike off a map that they and their team to not wish to play. At the end, there will be 1 map remaining, which will be the one that the match shall be played on. For Best of 3s: Each Team Captain will be pulled into the appropriate voice channel in Discord. A randomiser will be used to determine which Captain gets to pick the first map to veto. After both teams have vetoed one map each, the first Captain will choose a map that they wish to play. The other Captain will decide which side they wish to start on on that map. The same will happen again, except the roles are reversed - the Captain that picked which side they wanted to start on will now pick the second map, and the other Captain will choose their side. The third and final map will be randomly selected from the remaining maps.
  13. Server Commands In game player commands: .gaben - Set yourself as ready (during warmup). .unready - Unready yourself. In game Team Captain commands: .pause - Call timeout during freezetime. .unpause - Call unpause during timeout. .pauses_used - Show total team pauses used. .switch - Decide to switch teams (for knife round winner). .stay - Decide to stay (for knife round winner).
  14. Before the match -All team members should arrive on time. The more late people we have, the later everyone has to wait for their turn. Don't be a dick ❤️ Join your team's channel. Please do not connect to another team's channel. If you are not a member of a team, connecting to a Tournament voice channel will get you banned. - Team Captains will be moved into a separate channel where they will go through the map veto process. Only team captains should be in the voice channel. Team members can communicate with their Captain via pm. - Set your name to your known ENW alias so that everyone can recognise you. During the match - When the map has been selected, join the Tournament server. Your Team Captain will be given the IP and password for the server, as well as which team they should join. To connect directly to the IP, head to the in game console and type 'connect [ip:port] [password]' - When all players have connected, type .gaben in chat to set yourself as ready. All players must do this. - For a Best of 1 matchup, the knife round will begin after everyone has readied up. Players should not delay this round. The winning team's Captain should type .switch or .stay, depending on whether their team wishes to start on the T or CT side. - Each team will have 3 pauses at their disposal, each 30 seconds long, which can be used for any reason. The Captain must type .pause or .unpause - the round will unpause after 30 seconds automatically. To check how many pauses are left, type .pauses_used Should the game need to be paused for an indefinite amount of time due to a player reconnecting, one of these slots will be taken up. -If a player is having a connection issue and the team has an organised stand in, they may connect instead. Please note that once a player has been replaced like this, they cannot return to the server and must disconnect from the Discord Team Channel. This decision is entirely up to the Team Captain. - This may be a community event, but we are still aiming for a competitive environment for the tournament. Please do not troll your teammates or opponents during the matches. - Abuse of any kind between players and teams will not be accepted. Teams will be disqualified and players will be banned for this. After the match -Be sportsmanlike and respectful to your opponents, especially if you just won. - Don't fucking cry about losing. - Disconnect from the server only when the game is completely finished. Its always possible to clutch the round.
  15. Friday 3rd August will be our first match, starting at 6pm BST! If you would like to watch XiWon and Certified Gamers go head to head for a spot in the Semi Finals, or any of the other games happening in the tournament, make sure you follow iAqua on Twitch.tv and tune in to the stream throughout the weekend! @iAqua will be your 5v5 Tournament live stream host. Be sure to check it out!
  16. Forgot to mention that there will be a veto system in place for each of the map picks by team captains. Make sure you know your team's map pool!
  17. Extreme Network's Summer 5v5 Tournament The long awaited 5v5 CS:GO Tournament will be running next weekend! Starting from 18:00 BST on Friday 3rd August and finishing on Sunday 5th August, 40 of ENW's best and worst players will be going head to head to win the grand prize that hasn't been announced yet because I honestly don't know what it will be. The first stage is the Quarter Finals, which will be a best of 1 match up, with 4 of these matches being played on the Friday evening. The Semi Finals consist of 2 best of 3s being played on Saturday by the victorious teams from the Quarter Finals. The final will be played on Sunday as a single best of 3 match up! Some things to go over Cheating in any form will get you permanently banned from the community and your team disqualified, and may result in multiple bans for your teammates too. We will be using an additional anti-cheat, so we encourage you not to try and push your luck. This is a fun community tournament, not FaceIt. Being in any comms other than the dedicated discord channel will get you banned and your team disqualified. If you join a team's discord channel when they are playing, you too will be banned. We are by no means expecting it, but if every member of the team contributed even a tiny amount towards the community, like £1, we would gain a sizable amount of money. Everything we make, from the tournament or otherwise, is always reinvested into Extreme Network. Whilst we have not fully organised the ins and outs of it, by being part of the tournament you explicitly allow us to record and live stream the event. The streamer will be announced in the following week. If you wish to apply to be the streamer or even cast the matches, you are welcome to message me about it. Our terms of service apply to anything and everything that we do. We advise that you read them before attending the event or renewing your VIP subscription. Many thanks and good luck! Comrade Medez
  18. Hi all, We have recently had some more cuffuffle than normal when it comes to people claiming what is in and out of Extreme Network and the wider community, whether it constitutes a ban or if it should weigh into a member of staff's consideration at all. With this post, I wish to clarify our community's stance on this. All reports of players have to be accompanied by evidence or a member of staff acting as witness to the rule breaking. If sufficient evidence cannot be provided, no ban can be issued. This post only addresses this particular issue; this is by no means a complete list of banable offences. If you do not know our rules, take a look here. You may face punishment if you are found to have been doing any of the following and the victim of your rule breaking wishes to pursue a ban: - Abusing a player through Extreme Network (i.e. the forums, our servers, our discord etc.) - Revealing confidential information about players such as their place of work, home address, their full name or IP (this does not include a player's real first name) - Spreading pictures of a player or something similarly private without explicit permission, regardless of whether it is kept within ENW or not Whether or not something is within ENW or not has not been specifically addressed before. As such, we will not be banning players that previously did such things and have not yet been banned for it, unless they are an exceptional circumstance. To qualify as a player, you have to frequently engage with the community via the servers, forums or discord. The reason we have taken this stance is because we want Extreme Network to be the best and most friendly community that it can be. If you are a racist, for example, and are being racially abusive towards a member, we do not care if it is done on the servers, the forums, facebook, twitter or any other such platform; if you are that kind of person, you are not welcome in ENW. Regards, Schwarz, Medez & Joram
  19. Yeah, we will have a streamer showing it all
  20. Just to confirm, our 5v5 tournament will be taking place on 3rd, 4th and 5th of August! Follow up post to come soon.
  21. Hey all, Just quickly announcing that our new Admin Leader, decided on by the staff team, is @hansENW. Congratulations to him, and a big thank you to everyone that got involved! Also, I was wondering what sort of schedule would best suit everyone for the 5v5 tournament? I said August but perhaps better times would suit everyone? I am unavailable between 10th-24th of that month, but I am sure we can organise a stand-in or two if that best suits everyone. Please only vote if you're actually going to attend. Also, if you know of any streamers / actually competent community event casters, feel free to get them in touch with me. We won't be going overly serious with the whole tournament, but it might be a bit of fun to have some kind of show. If you haven't already, assemble a team and fill out the format in our Discord channel #5v5signup. We presently have 50 people attending, which will make it by far the largest thing we've ever put on. Feel free to leave your thoughts and the like below! Thanks all, Medez

    Retirement

You've been a great friend to me for years and I've known you for almost a decade now. It's pretty strange to think about how a fucking online gaming community genuinely can change people's lives, but you really have created something special mate. No matter what the future holds for ENW, I'm genuinely proud of all we achieved here together. Can't wait to see your place this summer 😘
  24. Without a doubt one of the most dedicated members of staff we've ever had. Thanks for everything you little minx
