Extreme Network's Jailbreak Rules

As well as being covered under the general server rules, Jailbreak has a specific set of rules that must be followed.

If you have been CT-banned, and wish to appeal, please appeal it in the Unban Request section.

Jailbreak is a game type where the CTs are Prison guards, and the T’s are Prisoners. The CT's main goal is to kill any "Rebels"*, and give orders to the T’s. The T's goal is to either survive by following the CT's orders directly, or to rebel and kill the CTs. It is versatile, and has room for a lot of fun. There are various approaches to being an effective CT, which makes the game different each time someone takes warden.

*A rebel is a T who has either not followed a CTs rules, attacked a CT, or has lost in one of the games.*

General Jailbreak Rules

  • No loopholing of the rules is allowed.
  • No team-killing through map-features, or any other way.
  • A freeday is considered a special day.
  • T’s are not allowed to camp the entrance of armory in order to block CT’s from exiting. Doing so will make the T a rebeller.
  • No cheating is implied for all minigames excluding last requests.
  • If someone is breaking the rules, it is your responsibility as a player to inform an admin.
  • Once the warden is dead, it is a freeday until another CT claims warden.
  • To give a special day, do !games. If !games is not done before cells open, it is a freeday.
  • AFK freezing (No movement at all) is not permitted.
  • Freezing allows players to stand, crouch and jump on the spot unless specified
  • Knifing cannot be restricted at any point in the round.
  • Orders must be given by 14:00 of the round, otherwise it is a freeday.
  • Cell doors should only be opened when the Warden gives the command to do so, or does it themselves (unless a T manages to open them first).
  • The cells must be opened before 14:00 on the map timer.
  • If the cells are opened but no commands are given, the T’s have a freeday.
  • Shots may not be fired into the stack unless the CT is sure they have a clear shot, or unless the entire stack is rebelling.
  • Being in armoury, vents and having a gun instantly makes a T a rebel, unless the Warden has given them permission.
  • The first round is always a freeday to allow players to join.
  • Do not swap back to CT if you have been swapped by a staff member.
  • As a dead player, speaking over the warden is punishable.
  • Incidents that occur in one round cannot have an effect on any rounds after – all commands, punishments and rewards are limited to the round that they are issued. For example, a T cannot be given “a freeday next round” for any reason, including freekilling.
  • In order for a vent cell to be considered a special cell, the vent must be accessible. (For example, if a vent is not open or able to be opened, that cell is no longer considered special)
  • You may not interfere with other players' LRs
  • Use common sense at all times

CT Specific Rules

  • To be a CT you must have a fully-functioning, clear, audible microphone and be willing to warden.
  • CT’s must stay with their warden and with the T’s unless they have a good reason to do otherwise.
  • CT’s must give T’s a fair chance to complete commands. Not doing so is free killing.
  • CT’s may tell T’s not to talk over them, but restrictions on talking altogether are not allowed. At no point can chat be restricted either.
  • CT's must give warning shots in all situations that they can be given, excluding death penalties for failing games. Saying "Take one backward step outside of your cell and freeze, or you die" does not give CT's the permission to kill someone that shifts side to side a bit.
  • Warning shots should only be given for minor mistakes, e.g delaying, not facing their cell, not crouching when told, etc. Warning shots do not have to be given if a T is running to guns, a vent, armoury, a ct and running away. Warning shots do not have to be given for failing games.
  • Warningshots should be given by holding "E" when shooting as much as possible.
  • CT’s are not allowed to camp in the armoury and can not return there consistently throughout the round.
  • CT’s are not allowed to vent camp and cannot rush through the vent whenever they please. If they have been made aware that a T is in a vent by seeing or hearing them, or by seeing an empty cell with an open vent they are allowed to rush it, after they kill the T they saw enter vents, they must exit them. After 3 minutes on the round time has passed, ct's may rush vents at all times.
  • CT's are not allowed to camp in the medic.
  • CT's shouldn't speak over the Warden when they are giving orders.
  • Being a "Nazi" Warden refers to a player that punishes players for the smallest of things. This is only accepted when the CT:T ratio is (or is worse than) 1:5. Other players' fun is not to be ruined by this style of warden.
  • To claim warden, a CT should type !w in chat, which will change the colour of their player model and will mean that they are now in charge of both their fellow CT’s and the T’s.
  • CT’s that are not the warden may only tell T’s to freeze and drop weapons.
  • If the warden is dead, a new CT must claim warden before continuing the round. This excludes the last CT, who automatically becomes the Warden.
  • CT’s may only attack rebels as attacking anyone else is classed as a free attack or free kill. If you free-attack a T, it's courteous to take them to medic. If you freekill a T by accident, you can ask a staff member to revive the freekilled T. If this happens no further actions are required. If this is not possible. You must go to armoury or somewhere where out of the way to kill yourself - if not, you could either  just be slain, or things could be taken further by admins.
  • You can't order Ts in cells, unless they are in a Special Cell (A cell concealing a weapon or escape route, typically called "Gun Cell", and "Vent Cell"). T's with grenades may also be told to thrown them to the back of their cell. You may, however, give T’s orders to follow once the cells are open.
  • CTs cannot give Ts a gun, AKA gunplanting.
  • If asked to repeat an order, you must do it. If a T is abusing this, kill the T for interrupting the game. You must also explain minigames or any map games if any T’s do not understand.
  • You are only allowed to do 2 simon says days/games per map.
  • No baiting. This means coming within knifing distance, or one step away from a stationary T. If you bait, and a T knifes you, you are not permitted to kill them.
  • No excessive kill-whoring. This means you may not give orders with the direct intent of killing as many Ts as possible for multiple consecutive rounds - while different CTs have different approaches, JB is a fun game-type and not a top-fragging competition.
  • CTs cannot lie about commands, for example, they cannot tell a T they can come back without dying, and then kill the T.
  • CT's must try to find missing T's and not just let them get to LR.  However, if a T decides to hide somewhere to purposefully delay the round whilst 2 T's have received "guaranteed LR", the missing / rebelling T is required to actively rebel and try to kill the CT's. Not doing so may result in a warning or slay from staff members.
  • CTs must be considerate of Ts that need to type in order to communicate.
  • CTs cannot camp or hide in Secrets
  • Knifing to block a one way entrance (where Ts are not able to see through one side but CTs can see through the other) is not permitted.
  • A Special Day cannot be given if the previous round was a Special Day.
  • CTs are not allowed to obtain any sort of buff to their character. (Increased speed, increased jump height, etc…).
  • You are not allowed to continue playing games to kill non-rebelling terrorists whilst there are 2 left. An exception for this is that a terrorist has to reach a finish of a game. (For example: Deathrun, lasers, RLGL). If 2 Ts are remaining while there is some rebellers, the non rebelling Ts are to be guaranteed LR.
  • All CTs should be actively attempting to contribute to the round’s progress.
  • Favourtism is not permitted in any form.
  • CTs must have at least one successful round before a games day is permitted. This means at least one successful round PER games day, successful being defined as a round which gets to LR after playing a game, or a round which ends while playing a game (not due to rebelling).
  • KOSing !emotes is not allowed, CT's are only allowed to restrict the use of emotes and give warning shots if T's emote after the command.
  • Hosting games heavily biased towards favouritism is not allowed (including but not limited to Joke day & Talent Show day).

T Specific Rules

  • Ts are considered rebels if they try to escape or attack a CT.
  • During !LR Ts can be ordered by a non-warden.
  • Talking while bloodhounding is forbidden
  • When a CT is attempting to run a game, be considerate and allow them to do so. Not doing so is selfish and results in a decrease of enjoyment in the server.
  • Ts may not snitch on their team mates unless ordered to be a "bloodhound" by the Warden.
  • Ts may not camp in their cell once the doors have been opened, unless they are in a special cell (gun cell, vent cell, secret cell.)
  • T’s are not able to surrender their weapons or themselves for a freeday.
  • You’re not allowed to LR whilst you’re supposed to finish a game where others T’s have already died.
  • Once a T has killed a CT, they are considered a rebel for the remainder of the round and are not allowed to surrender for that round.

!LR Specific Rules (Last Request)

  • Last Request cannot be denied by a CT, even if the T is a rebel – as one of two remaining T’s it is their right to be able to have LR.
  • Both parties must be ready before you begin an LR.
  • Do not deliberately prolong the round when LR is available. If you do, you will be slain.
  • Gun Toss conditions must be set by T before the first gun is tossed and understood by the CT.
  • Whilst doing race, both parties must agree on start and end points before they begin and the destinations must be chosen as quickly as possible.
  • No glitching LR so that one party is stuck or unable to take part fairly in the LR, this involves teleporting players to unfair places where if they win they may die.
  • Custom LRs are allowed if they are reasonable, do not take too long, and both parties agree to it.
  • Players cannot kill themselves because they don't like the !lr game.

When a player refers to "Standard Rules" when giving rules for their !lr, this is what they mean:

Standard rules for !LR (Last Request):

Normal Gun Toss

  • No Cheating
  • Bhopping is allowed
  • Jumping is allowed
  • Throw before you land

Rocket Toss

  • No Cheating

Shot4Shot/Mag4Mag

  • No Cheating
  • No jumping or crouching
  • Stay on/in specified area

Knife Fight

  • No Medic

  • Don't run away
  • No Medic

Dodgeball

  •  No Cheating
  • Only use flashbangs
  • No Medic
  • Dont run away

Admin Guidelines

  • When a CT has freekilled someone accidentally. A staff member should revive the freekilled T when possible. Try to avoid slaying CT's so the round can continue normally. Only when it happens on a constant basis or you decide that the freekill was not an accident should the CT be slain.
  • Respawns for late joining players cannot be given after the cells have been opened or a player has been killed.
  • The !box command can only be enabled at the request of the Warden.
  • If dead players are talking too much, Admins should "mute @dead" for a small amount of time, so that the round can continue - 1 or 2 minutes is normally enough.
  • If an Admin has freekilled and you have evidence or multiple witnesses, you may tell them to kill themselves. If they do not, and you can both prove they freekilled and target them, you may slay them.
  • Admins should not spawn chickens at any point.
  • Players on the T side should never be given a freeday because they were freekilled. The CT who freekilled them should be slain and if the admin wishes to they may respawn the killed player, though the latter part is not required.
  • Players should swap themselves and Admins should try to avoid swapping players because they requested it.

Jailbreak Games

Jailbreak is much more enjoyable when CT's know lots of different games, so here's a huge summary of all the ones I know.

Everyone knows different variations of these games, so these aren't the only way to play them - its just the way I know them. Feel free to be as different and creative with them as you like!

Special Days

Please check out our Jailbreak Rules post for regulations on special days.

Freeday:

Spoiler

A freeday is a day that happens when either the warden calls it or if the cells doors are opened without any orders being given. In a freeday, Terrorists may go and do anything they want on the map, but are atill confined to the rules, meaning that they can be killed if they rebel.

Panda Freeday:

Spoiler

A Panda Freeday is where they must remain crouched at all times. If a T wishes to type, they may stand and freeze where they are, then crouch as soon as they are down. Panda T's are permitted to right click and can climb and jump, but running and using guns are not allowed. Ever seen a panda with an AK before?

Zombie Freeday:

Spoiler

T's must shift walk at all times and can left click knife CT's. Crouching, jumping, running and using ladders will make the Zombie T a rebel, as well as attacking CT's with anything but left-click knife.

Took a while for me to get all these together, so please do use them! However, don't exhaust them and remember to use the map games too!

Also, if you have any games to add, give me a message and I'll put them in for you.

This will be bumped every time it is changed.

Changed general rules:

-  Removed being able to give 2 freedays in the special days rule. (Point 8 in the general rules section)

-  Removed: A jump step and a regular step are no longer considered the same if not specified otherwise.

Changed from CT rules:

Removed: Warning shots should be given with the lowest damaging weapon available to the CT.

Removed: Do not warning shot with deagle/awp/scout/autosnipers.

(This doesnt mean you're allowed to give a warningshot with these weapons without holding "E".)

Removed: Contradictory commands.

Changed: "No baiting. This means coming within knifing distance, or one step away from a stationary T. If you bait, and a T knifes you, you are not permitted to kill them. However, a T is not allowed to move towards a CT with the purpose of knifing them.", by removing the last sentence.

New rules

  • Warday is only allowed to expand when at least 2 minutes has passed counting from the start of warday. Warday automatically expands after 4 minutes has passed.

  • You are not allowed to continue playing games to kill non-rebelling terrorists whilst there are 2 left. An exception for this is that a terrorist has to reach a finish of a game. (For example: Deathrun, lasers, RLGL).

  • You’re not allowed to LR whilst you’re supposed to finish a game where others T’s have already died.

  • Ct’s are not allowed to obtain any sort of buff to their character. (Increased speed, increased jump height, etc…).
